Sisters of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (SABS)

Our Adoration Congregation had its origin from the deep, divine experience of servant of God, Thomas Kurialacherry, an ardent devotee of the Holy Sacrament. The main intention of our Founder was that our lord in the Blessed Sacrament should always and everywhere be known loved and adored by all. and first members.

Mother Hosanna the provincial superior of Thalassery province could sense the need of our presence in Andhra soil, and we set our first foot in the Andhra soil at Kovvur. Thus Deepthi Bhavan, the 1st house ofAndhra mission, started on 18th June 1978 in Eluru Diocese. Rev Fr. Peter Canacious, Regional superior of OFM cap took lot of interest and extended his helping hands to start our mission in Andhra. This mustard seed of SABS which was sown in this soil of AP sprouted and spread out in many Dioceses of AP namely Vijayawada, Warganal, Nalgonda and Khammam. Our sisters are rendering their valuable service in various fields by the Grace of Eucharistic Lord.

Sr. Ancy Oniserry was appointed as the mission superior to coordinate our communities in Andhra Pradesh. She was succeeded by Sr. Jane Mary Areeparambil and sr. Anice Kallidukkil. The mission was raised into a region in the year 2005, naming it Jeevodaya region-Enikepadu convent as its regional house.Sr. Anice Kallidukkil is appointed as the regional superior for the 9 consecutive years. Next Sr. Mary Paul Pulakudkudiyil served the region as the regional superior. The 19th general synaxis decided to raise the region to a province. Thus, the Jeevodaya Province was born on 4th April 2016.Sr. Jane Mary Areeparambil is appointed as the Provincial superior for the six consecutive years. At present Sr. Anice Kallidukkil is serving the province as provincial superior. We have 15 communities,7 in Andhra,6 in Telangana,1 in Kerala and 1 in Germany and 78 sisters.

Today with a wide variety of apostolic involvement we become one with the people to make the compassionate heart of Eucharistic JESUS far and near through humanitarian works of love. Thus, to fulfill the vision of our founder Venerable Thomas Kurialacherry and Co foundress the servant of God, Mother Mary Chantal.
